Two New Funds Support Congregation Shalom’s Priorities 

Claire Fabric Food Pantry Fund

Claire Fabric (z”l) passed away on October 25, 2020.  Claire, who held a degree in Social Work, had a passion for helping everyone and anyone who needed it. When considering how best to honor Claire’s life-long commitment to those in need, her family decided to name Congregation Shalom’s Food Pantry Fund. The Claire Fabric Food Pantry Fund will continue to support the ongoing food programs that are associated with Congregation Shalom’s community outreach activities through the Social Action Committee. In addition, Congregation Shalom will work to identify new and expanded opportunities for meeting the needs of those experiencing hunger both within our own congregation as well as in the greater Milwaukee Community.

Jordon Werner Memorial Fund for Educational Innovation

Jordon Werner(z”l) joined Congregation Shalom in 1957 and remained a member for 62 years until his passing in December, 2019. He believed that the children represent the future of Reform Judaism and that teaching our children about our rich heritage and traditions was among the most important work of the synagogue. It is with this in mind that Jordon’s family has established the Jordon Werner Memorial Fund for School Technology. Through this fund, Congregation Shalom’s religious and Hebrew school teachers will have access to the newest and most effective education tools and teaching techniques.  Donations to both funds can be made below or can be mailed to Congregation Shalom, 7630 N.
