Adult Education

Join Rabbi Noah, Rabbi Poslosky and Brian Avner for one or both of our upcoming and ongoing adult education classes on Tuesday evenings.  Both classes are open to all congregants. See the class descriptions below. Both classes begin Tuesday, January 4, 2022.

Chavruta Learning Class
There is a tradition in Judaism to study Jewish text in chavruta, or pairs.  In the Beit Midrash of old, the large house of study, pairs of students would pore over text together and help each other delve deeper and deeper into the text, and into their own understanding of themselves.

This class will explore some of the most famous passages from the Talmud, a compendium of the Oral Torah compiled in the 6th century.  We will explore some of the more famous texts from Talmud and navigate them together. Come with a chavruta partner, or come alone and we'll find you a chavruta. No Hebrew knowledge required. This is a free course. This class begins Tuesday, January 4th and will be held from 6:15-7:15 P.M.
