Shalom I

The Shalom I adult softball team recently completed its sixteenth season in the JCC League. This year of "almosts" resulted in just four victories in fifteen games, far fewer than this team has been used to. Injuries, availability conflicts, bad breaks, higher than normal roster turnover, and other internal team issues all contributed to this downturn. However, a modest two game season-ending winning streak may bode well for what's ahead. Shalom members included Steve Marcus, Jim Williams, Fred Emmerich, Bill Gartenberg, Steve Kupferman, Bob, Wynne, and Jason Markey, David Wolfson, Ron Marth, David Moburg, and Daniel Bernstein.

Shalom II

The Congregation Shalom II team completed another championship season going undefeated with a 17-0 record. Congratulations and a heartfelf thank you to manager David Teplin. The team's star pitcher was, once again, Larry Miller.

Solid offense and defense came from Jeff Putterman, Dick Pearson, Tom Curtis, Doug "Moondogie" Bugalski, Paul Buzzell, Andre Jung, Jake Deutsch, Brian Konga and Ben Merens.
