Life-Long Learning
School Philosophy
Tradition teaches that Jewish education and connection begin in the home; thus, we at Congregation Shalom hope to be a “second home” for our learners of all ages.
We strive to make a Jewish connection with each child's spiritual, intellectual, and emotional needs. Our curriculum attempts to give each child a solid foundation of Jewish knowledge within a Reform Jewish perspective, the opportunity to develop their personal beliefs and connections to their faith, and the understanding that Jewish teachings and values can apply to every aspect of their daily life.
Through stimulating academic lessons, hands-on experience, and lively discussion, we offer an educational program that will lead our students into a lifetime of Jewish learning and living.
Our clergy, faculty, and staff seek to inspire a life-long pride in
one's Jewish identity; a love of Jewish learning; a life of holiday,
life-cycle, and ritual practice, and ethical living.
