Bagels, Books and Babies

10:30– 11:30 a.m.
(Oct. 21, Nov. 18, Dec. 2 in 2007)
(Jan. 20, Feb. 17, Mar. 16, April 13, May 18 in 2008)

The babies of Congregation Shalom invite you to join Bagels, Books and Babies.  This group is for babies under 2-1/2 and their parents to get together once a month at the synagogue.  They meet from 10:30-11:30 a.m. and they always have snacks for the babies and bagels for the moms and dads. Activities vary depending on the month, they sometimes have music with Wendy Cohen, share stories about how to survive their parents (ok, so maybe it's the other way around), read books, talk about the holidays, and just hang out.  It's a very relaxed, casual atmosphere so it's always ok to feed babies, let them sleep in strollers or car seats, cry or do whatever babies like to do.  Older siblings are welcome too!  For more information contact Abby Habush Schroeder at 414-352-9288.

"Kid"dush Club

Fridays at 6:00 p.m. in Kesselman Chapel
(Jul. 20, Sept. 30*, Nov. 16 in 2007)

Do you love coming to Bagels, Books, and Babies and/or Temple for Toddlers? Then you will definitely enjoy "Kid"dush Club! Temple for Toddlers

Second Saturday of the Month 10:30– 11:30 a.m.
(Oct. 13, Nov. 10, Dec. 1 in 2007)
(Jan. 12, Feb. 9, Mar. 8, April 12, May 10 in 2008)

Temple for Toddlers is a monthly program designed to provide children ages 2 ½ - 4 years old and their parents (or grandparents) with a fun and creative Shabbat experience. Each month we create a new craft project (dealing with a Jewish holiday or ritual), participate in singing, prayer, and marching with miniature and stuffed “Torahs” during a brief service, and celebrate with a special snack. Rabbi Roxanne leads the program with the assistance of the talented and musically-gifted Wendy Cohen.

Members and non-members are invited to attend, but registration by the Tuesday prior is strongly requested in for us to have sufficient supplies. Please call 414-352-2549 to let us know you will be coming.
